mechanical systems
For criminal justice & law enforcement facilities
Justice projects represent a significant part of Capital’s business which has led us to develop an extensive portfolio of experience in the design of:
- federal, state, and county courthouses
- adult detention and correction facilities
- juvenile justice facilities
- secure mental health and correctional treatment facilities
- city and county police, sheriff jails
law enforcement facilities of all kinds
Mechanical systems are unique and highly specialized in these facilities and require dedicated and experienced personnel to properly address the security elements and specified application of HVAC and plumbing designs.
Capital has a team of specialists focusing primarily on justice projects. This team has pioneered the use of innovative strategies for sustainable design and security such as vacuum plumbing systems for a number of California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) projects, and has helped attain LEED Certification of these projects.
